Culture Coach

Professional coaching to help you design a world-class culture

Accelerator Coaching

Professional coaching is about putting two heads together to solve challenging problems. It’s not therapy (we won’t deeply explore and make sense of your past). And it’s not sports coaching (I won’t tell you what to do). Instead, think of coaching as space reserved for you to think out loud (but with professional feedback instead of weird stares).

Author and psychologist Jordan Peterson once said, “talking is thinking.” Our coaching conversations are designed to help you think with more fidelity. They are designed to challenge assumptions and test new ideas. These conversations also lead to concrete next actions.

Better thinking invites better plans. Better plans invite better action. Better action invites better outcomes.

Top professionals consistently work with coaches. Likely, the people at the top of your organization have worked with coaches. For many, it’s the secret to their success. The best don’t (and can’t) do it alone.

General Coaching Objectives

1. Present: We will work to establish a clear picture of reality to include constraints, pressures, bandwidth, and more.

2. Future: We will work to establish a clear vision of what you want.

3. Obstacles: We will identify and clarify obstacles.

4. Planning: We will create plans to work through the obstacles.

5. Accountability: We will work as a team along the way.

Do any of these problems resonate?

“We are contemplating a robust Return to Office (RTO) policy. I need some help planning this effort.”

“I am just not happy. I want to position myself to move to another organization.”

“I just started a new role and I want to crush it! I could use some help getting going.”

“How do I raise my profile inside my firm?”

“I am sick of having the ‘Sunday Scaries.’ I want to make a change.”

“My team is killing me! We need to change but I am not sure where to start.”

“The culture around here needs work. I could use some help jump-starting cultural change.”

“I want a promotion. How should I go about becoming more competitive?”

If these problems resonate, then professional coaching will help!

Coaching Principles

The three principles that inform my approach to professional coaching

Coaching Principle 1

We are partners

You are the expert on your life. My role as your coach is not to tell you what to do. Some people think that’s what coaches do. The best ones don’t. My role is to be your partner. I will help add structure to your thinking to make it clearer, challenge your ideas to promote awareness and perspective, and help design sound plans and actions that move you forward. Coaches fill a unique role that no spouse, business partner, mentor, or subordinate can.

Coaching Principle 2

Bias toward action

Consistent action establishes momentum which gets you further, faster. All coaching happens through a coaching conversation. The outcomes you want happen when you take action in between coaching conversations. Together we will co-create clear plans and clear next actions that will help you move forward with confidence.

Coaching Principle 3

We are accountable

The fact is, nothing works unless we do. One of the biggest benefits of having a professional coach is establishing accountability for taking action. We will design an accountability system and cadence that will be the most effective for you and your goals. This also helps ensure we build and maintain positive momentum.

I strongly urge anyone who is leading people today, to sit in Jonathan’s sessions, read his book or have him be your coach. He is in touch with the dynamic changes we all face today leading Boomers and Millennials. He has the data to support his recommendations and with the amount we invest in staff, retention is high, if not number one, on the list for every business. He grabs the attendees attention and keeps it throughout the session.
